Armstrong Teasdale LLP Financial Analyst - FPandA in St. Louis, Missouri

  1. Financial Analyst - FPandA is an integral member of the Finance team and is involved in issues affecting the entire firm. The Financial Analyst is expected to be a major contributor in the development, validation, analysis and reporting of the firms financial and operational results. This role will generate reports, financial models and analytical solutions as well as develop the firms operational budget.

  1. Prepares and analyzes financial, operational and statistical reports on performance of various business subsections and departments of the firm
  2. Assists in the development of the firms annual PandL budget
  3. Builds out various financial models related to forecasting and budgeting
  4. Updates financial schedules monthly/quarterly/yearly in a timely manner
  5. Completes monthly high level and detail level analytics on the firms performance within given deadlines
  6. Prepares journal entries as needed
  7. Meets with budget managers regularly to support forecast/budget analytics
  8. Develops reports and analytics to facilitate sound business decisions using tools such as SQL and MS-Excel pivot tables
  9. Develops and captures KPIs to track progress of forecast/budget goals
  10. Works cross-functionally to improve areas that are not achieving objectives
  11. Performs analysis and investigations to truly understand the business activities behind the results
  12. Invests time to master the firms budgeting/forecasting software tool
  13. Ensures required reconciliations are performed on key accounts
  14. Participates in cost reduction or avoidance activities, including eliminating or streamlining processes
  15. Supports periodic financial and operational audits and tax return requirements
  16. Provides regular and ongoing communication of project status to key stakeholders

  1. Education : Bachelors degree in Finance/Accounting/Business
