Midwest Operations of ALTEC Industries, Inc. has an opening for an Auditor/Tester. The associate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting hydraulic systems and components on machinery, including diagnosing malfunctions,and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of hydraulic systems by utilizing specialized tools and knowledge of hydraulic principles;often working closely with engineers and other technicians to resolve complex issues

Required Qualifications

  • High school or GED required.

  • Vocational school and/or work-related experience required.

  • General knowledge and application of hydraulics and welding required.

  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend required.

  • Must be capable of obtaining Sentry training and a CDL within the first 60 days of being in the position.

Preferred Qualification

  • Previous hydraulic experience, i.e. hose routing, pressure and flow settings, and fluid power certification.

  • Previous electrical experience, i.e. wire crimping, wire routing, troubleshooting, and chassis programming.

  • Weld certified or able to obtain 3G/4G certification.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Read and interpret each work order and inspect each vehicle to ensure the finished vehicle meets requirements.

  • Install loose components to meet customer and employer standards.

  • Dielectric tests aerial unit on each truck assigned to ensure conformance to standards.

  • Operate unit by means of upper and lower controls to ensure function operational ability plus road test unit.

  • Perform rework as required, such as painting, welding, and hydraulic plumbing.

  • Conduct a stability test of the aerial boom and each truck assigned to ensure operative ability and conformance to stability set by the employer.

  • Troubleshoot unit if required.

  • Follow established safety, environmental, and quality policies, procedures, and practices.

  • Other job duties as assigned.
