Greenhouse Labourer
PeopleReady of St. Catharines, ON is now hiring Greenhouse Labourers! Offering a unique opportunity in the fascinating world of mushroom cultivation, our client is an award winning grower of various species of mushrooms. As an integral part of the team you will actively contribute to the production and growth of mushrooms. Our client's location is located just a brief 15-minute drive from downtown St.Catharines in beautiful Niagara-on-the-Lake. Not located on a bus route. Weekend availability required.

Pay Rate:
The pay rate for this job is $17.21 / hour with vacation pay
What you'll be doing as a Greenhouse Labourer:
Eagerness to work in a team centered environment
Quickness and precision for sorting / packaging various mushrooms
Excellent organizational skills
Meeting of daily targets
Maintaining a clean and organized work station
Load and unload shipments both pallets and boxes
Keep the greenhouse clean by disposing of waste and sweeping the floors
Available shifts:
Shift timings - 1st Shift (Day)
Job requirements:
Previous greenhouse experience
Own personal pair of CSA Green Tab steel toe boots or shoes required
Proven track record of working in fast paced environments
Physical endurance is key, as the position requires prolonged periods of standing, bending, twisting and lifting items weighing a minimum of 20lbs
This position is NOT bus accessible – personal vehicle is strongly preferred
