About the Role

With a busy and exciting high season approaching us for 2024, we have new opportunities within The Pro Shop, situated within Old Course Hotel. We are currently recruiting an enthusiastic and friendly Retail Assistant to join our existing team, in providing exceptional customer service to our guests.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Excellent Customer Service – Exceed guest expectations and deliver a memorable experience. Build relationships with guests, customers, and colleagues.

  • Encouraging sales and working towards a sales target.

  • Assisting guests and customers by showing excellent product knowledge.

  • Visual Merchandising – Ensure a high standard of cleanliness throughout retail shops. Regular window display changes & upkeep of shop appearance and stock levels.

  • Stock Control – Regular spot checks and assistance with month end stock takes.

  • Online Gift Card Fulfilment– Monitor online website and complete Gift Cards..

  • Shop Floor – Assisting guests and customers, demonstrating excellent product knowledge, encouraging sales, and working towards shop targets.

About you

You will be a confident, friendly, and highly motivated individual who can demonstrate high standards and excellent customer service within a retail setting. Having excellent communication skills and enjoying working as part of a team are essential for this role, as you’ll support our Golf Operations Team with creating a memorable experience for our guests and visitors. Ideally, you will also have an interest and understanding in Golf, along with knowledge of the local area.

Salary

This is a casual contract working up to 40 hours per week until 31st October 2024. This role includes an element of weekend working and during our high season, early and late shifts may be required. Shift patterns and working hours will be discussed during interview.

A competitive hourly rate from £10.17 to £11.77 per hour is offered, depending on experience along with a vast range of associate benefits.
