Chenega Agile Real-Time Solutions (CARS) was created with the purpose of providing integrated enterprise IT support to Federal customers both CONUS and OCONUS. CARS employs Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) with decades of experience working in the Federal marketplace.

The Junior CMDB Administrator is responsible for assisting in the development, management, and maintenance of the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) within the organization's ITIL framework.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in configuring and running ServiceNow Discovery to identify assets and services across multiple networks.

  • Support the deployment of Cloud Discovery for AWS, Azure, and/or GCP environments.

  • Help with Service Mapping preparation, ensuring accurate application service representation in the CMDB.

  • Work with senior engineers to configure and optimize IRE rules to maintain data integrity.

  • Monitor and troubleshoot discovery issues under guidance from senior team members.

  • Assist in documenting processes, configurations, and troubleshooting guides.

  • Collaborate with IT and infrastructure teams to gather requirements and refine discovery schedules.

  • Support CMDB data analysis and validation efforts.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 1+ years of relevant experience or

  • Associate’s degree and 3+ years of relevant experience or

  • High School Degree and 5+ years of relevant experience

  • Experience with ServiceNow CMDB and/or ITOM modules.

  • Basic knowledge of ServiceNow Discovery and Cloud Discovery concepts.

  • Active TS/SCI clearance with the ability to successfully obtain CI Poly.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Understanding of network infrastructure, IP addressing, and common IT components.

  • Familiarity with scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or JavaScript for automation.

  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

  • Ability to learn quickly and work collaboratively in a team environment.

  • Preferred - ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) or working towards a CMDB/Discovery certification.

  • Preferred - Experience with ITSM and ITOM modules in ServiceNow.

  • Preferred - Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).

  • Ability to think critically and solve complex issues

  • Ability to work with other teams and stakeholders to ensure mission success
