Job Description

Nightwing is seeking a Field Service Professional to work at our Springfield location. The successful applicant will have a background in the construction and trades industry. The applicant will work with other experienced personnel in a cross-functional team environment to create and take innovative solutions from conceptualization through prototype development. Responsibilities include working with suppliers, coordinating with team leads, training, testing, procedure development, and fabrication of structures and prototype hardware. The applicant will have a strong desire to learn and collaborate with team members to refine procedures and designs. Occasional travel relatively local CONUS required.

Required Skills

Candidate must possess an active Top Secret security clearance

Minimum (6) years of relevant experience in the military, construction, or skilled trades industry

Hands-on experience such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, or mechanical assembly

Logistics management of building supplies and materials

Ability to read and understand conceptual drawings or blueprints

Ability to lift up to 75 pounds

Ability to work in restricted mobility areas and confined spaces

Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Compliance with Nightwing’s Silica Monitoring Program

Willingness to apply for Nightwing’s Non-Commercial & DOT Driving Programs

Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to prepare written training documentation

Experience with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Project, and PowerPoint)

Desired Skills

Medium and/or heavy equipment operator

Military or special operations experience

Journeyman license or equivalent certification in a skilled trade (e.g. plumbing, HVAC, electrical)

U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance as of day one of employment.

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
