Express Employment Professionals Warehouse Clerk H202 in Springfield, Ohio
Seeking a dedicated individual to assist in the distribution of food through walk-up and scheduled programs. This role is crucial in ensuring our neighbors have access to nutritious food and supporting our mission of eliminating hunger.
Responsibilities:
- Perform intake and assist neighbors during on-site and off-site food distributions.
- Pack and prepare food items and packages for various programs, meeting packing and accuracy goals.
- Lead and coordinate volunteers in packing projects.
- Prepare, pack, store, and distribute food through the OrderAhead program.
- Track and maintain inventory for the walk-up program.
- Operate forklifts, electric and manual pallet jacks following OSHA requirements.
- Utilize PantryTrak system for compliance, data entry, and reporting.
- Compile reports for Feeding America, ODJFS, Ohio Association of Food Banks, and AIB.
- Provide summary reports to staff as needed.
Requirements:
- Cross-training in warehouse positions and food bank software.
- Willingness to assist non-English speaking clients through language services.
- Conduct neighbor satisfaction surveys and identify areas for improvement.
- Attend meetings, presentations, and trainings as required.
- Comply with departmental goals and objectives.
- Learn, teach, train, and adhere to Feeding America and AIB standards.
- Obtain and maintain ServSafe certification.
- Complete Certification in Food Resources training.
- Collaborate with volunteers and staff to increase operational efficiencies.
- Assist in identifying and resolving general and food safety issues.
- Participate in AIB certification process.
