Positronic Industries, Inc. Warehouse Inventory Associate - 11748 in Springfield, Missouri

Job Summary Ensure all customer sales orders and internal jobs are pulled in a timely manner, using First in First Out inventory practices. Ensure all parts are stored in the proper inventory locations in the warehouse. Partner with other departments to increase productivity and efficiency. Job Responsibilities Receive and package components to prevent damage. Monitor and maintain high efficiency input/output in the department. Be knowledgeable and experienced in performing subordinate tasks and duties. Ensure F.I.F.O system is adhered to in daily functions of the department. Assist in temporary staffing level loading in Inventory Control where required. Weigh and/or count various types of raw materials or products using a scale. Move material between departments. Research discrepancies and work with lead and/or departments to resolve. Perform cycle counts. Perform inventory transactions on the computer system. General Housekeeping to keep work area clean and organized. Protect themselves and their co-workers by adhering to all company safety and health policies. Identify hazards in the workplace and report them to management and/or safety coordinator. Must work with the EHS department to ensure all local, state, and federal regulatory agencies requirements are met; OSHA, NFPA, DNR, EPA and Amphenol sustainability practices. Must work with the Quality department to ensure all quality standards are met for AS9100 certification. Comply with company policies and procedures. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements Education: High School Diploma or equivalent 1 to 3 months experience or training Passage of appropriate testing to advance in ABC certification program. Physical: Must be able to sit, stand, walk, bend, stooping, twist, reach, reach overhead. Must be able to lift to 50lbs. frequently. Knowledge: English Language - Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar. Mechanical - Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance. Abilities: Deductive Reasoning - The ability to apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense.
