English Language Instructor Temporary through Sept. 2025 We are seeking an English Language Instructor to join our multicultural New American Program team. The English Language Instructor plays a critical role in JFSWM\'s Learning Program, supporting the integration of refugees into the local community by providing essential English language instruction to adults. The position involves planning, preparing, and leading classes for a diverse group of learners, including refugees from different linguistic and cultural backgrounds, ensuring learning needs are met, while also promoting their overall social and economic integration. SEE THE JEWISH FAMILY SERVICES WEBSITE FOR COMPLETE JOB DESCRIPTION Qualifications: Bachelor\'s degree in education, TESOL, Linguistics, or a related field. Previous experience teaching ESL to adult learners, particularly in refugee or immigrant communities, is highly desirable. Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage learners from diverse backgrounds. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to clearly explain concepts and provide feedback. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and a willingness to learn new software programs as needed. Ability to work collaboratively within a team and with community partners. Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion in handling sensitive information. Fluency in English required; proficiency in an additional language is a plus. Previous experience working with refugees or immigrant populations is strongly preferred. Valid driver\'s license and reliable transportation may be required for client visits and outreach activities. Ability to adapt to changing program needs and demonstrate flexibility in the classroom and in supporting clients. We offer a competitive compensation package.
