Volt Systems Development Engineer - 6438053_1-7970 in Springfield, Illinois

This role will be focused on New Product Introduction (NPI) for plant level solutions using the agile development process. This is a fast-paced environment with an opportunity to develop new technology and products. This specific position focuses on developing system level models, reliability studies and remote operation enablers related to turbomachinery power applications.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS in Engineering
  • 8+ years of industry experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A Master\'s or PhD degree in electrical or mechanical engineering

Preferred Qualifications

  • Physics based modeling - system modeling in MATLAB, Simulink
  • Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) Simulation/Testing
  • Direct simulation experience to create hi-fidelity models for both the mechanical (engine, gearbox, etc.) and electrical (inverter, motor, etc.) portions of a power system using MATLAB/Simulink
  • Experience leveraging Hardware-In-loop (HIL) simulation to model and prove out response rates and system power ratings.

Pay Rate: \$40/hour- \$85/hour

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate\'s education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
