Polyurea Application Specialist, Entry Level - JR2413351

DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: As an Entry Level Application Specialist, you will spray samples independently with the guidance from the senior team members. You need to be capable to quickly learn polyurea and foam application procedures and equipment repairs. You will support large-scale paint mixing, and spray customer samples good quality that satisfies the customers.

When spray is not scheduled, you will conduct several types of cross-market testing, data collection and reporting of results. Communicate with teammates about test results and observations, and suggested ways forward. Travel can be 10%, includes possible international travel.

Key Responsibilities: * Improve organic growth by creating new launch opportunities via spraying customer samples (90%) and assist senior members to train customers on spraying PPG materials and operating equipment (10%). * Participate at customer sites to support line trials and launches. * Use mills and dispersion equipment to scale up paint in a laboratory environment. * Read standard testing methods and carry out all testing across all major paint markets with the guidance from senior members in the team. * Support senior team members to carry out customer complaint verification, root cause identification, and corrective action implementation. * Host internal/external customer application training classes. * Demonstrate proactive safety leadership. Identify safety-related improvement opportunities. * Participate in equipment and chemical database maintenance. * Safely use hazardous materials every day, follow strict safety precautions and wear personal protective equipment, including the use of respirators and Tyvek Coveralls when recommended by SDS and standard procedures. * Ensure compliance with all PPG policies and business strategies, including EH&S, business conduct, code of ethics, and all government regulations and laws.

Qualifications * High School Diploma or bachelor's degree * Must have valid driver's license. * Can safely lift 5 gallon pails. * Skills related to Polyurethane Or Polyurea Or Foam coating application is preferred. * Skills in Graco, PMC, Glascraft, and other Polyurea application equipment is preferred. * Previous robotic or programing experience is preferred. * Have experience in one or more successful product launch(es) with customer(s) in job history.
