Description We are looking for an experienced Controller to join our team in Spring Valley, California. This role is pivotal in managing and optimizing financial operations, ensuring accuracy in reporting, and driving strategic decision-making processes. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in accounting, financial analysis, and leadership to support organizational goals.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee inventory accounting processes, including reconciliation of warehouse records, inbound and outbound transactions, and vendor discrepancy resolutions.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments, accurate invoicing, and proper allocation of deposits.
• Utilize Bill.com to streamline the accounts payable process and enhance efficiency.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts to uphold financial accuracy and compliance.
• Lead month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Prepare detailed financial reports and statements, offering actionable insights for strategic planning.
• Collaborate on budgeting and forecasting efforts, analyzing variances and proposing corrective measures.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation in accounting systems, driving implementation of new tools.
• Provide guidance to less experienced accounting staff, ensuring adherence to best practices.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to align financial strategies with organizational objectives. Requirements • Minimum of five years of experience in accounting or financial management roles.
• Proficiency in inventory accounting and reconciliation processes.
• Strong knowledge of accounts payable and receivable functions.
• Experience with accounting software systems, including Bill.com and ADP.
• Familiarity with CRM platforms and reporting tools such as Crystal Reports.
• Proven ability to lead month-end and year-end close procedures.
• Expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills to collaborate across departments.
