Kelsey-Seybold Clinic Surgical Technician I / II – Springwoods Village ASC in Spring, Texas

Responsibilities

Works in collaboration with the Registered Nurses to provide care of the surgical patient in the OR suite. Prepares the instruments for each surgical procedure. Scrubs in on surgical cases to prepare instruments and assists the surgeon. Assists in room turnover and are responsible for instrument decontamination. Contributes to the orientation of new surgical technicians. Must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development as it relates to specific age groups. This position works as needed to provide staffing for the ASC OR. This position serves the following age groups: Infant, Pediatric, Adolescent, Adult, and Geriatric.

Job Title: Surgical Technician I / II – ASC - Sign-On Bonus: $2500

Department: ASC Operating Rooms

Job Type: Full Time

Salary Range: $54,186 - $73,025 (Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc.)

Qualifications

Education

Required:

ASC SURGICAL TECH

Graduate of approved surgical tech program

ASC SURGICAL TECH II

Graduate from a surgical technology program which is CAAHEP or ABHES accredited.

Preferred: N/A

Experience

Required:

ASC SURGICAL TECH

One year surgical tech experience

ASC SURGICAL TECH II

Three years surgical tech experience

Preferred: Ambulatory Surgery Center or hospital experience.

License(s)

Required:

ASC SURGICAL TECH

CPR

ASC SURGICAL TECH II

CST Certification; CPR

Preferred: CST

Special Skills

Required: Mastery of advanced Surgical Tech skills and extensive knowledge of at least one specialty service.

Preferred: Experience in multi-specialty services

Other

Required: Basic computer

Preferred: N/A
