The Scientist will support the genetic characterization of cell lines expressing therapeutic proteins. The scientist will be primarily responsible for molecular biology activities that demonstrate genetic and epigenetic foundations of cellular phenotypes, such as NGS, ddPCR, RT-PCR, Northern blotting, Southern blotting, and molecular cloning.

Additional responsibilities include mammalian cell culture, experimental design, data analysis, troubleshooting, participation in project teams and maintaining detailed records. The work is highly collaborative; requiring excellent communication skills and a desire to be part of a team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 6 years related experience, Master’s degree with minimum of 4 years laboratory experience, or PhD with a minimum of 2 years of related experience is required.

  • Experience in NGS is required.

  • Experience with nucleic acid extraction, PCR and blotting techniques are highly preferred.

  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, verbal and written communication skills are required.

  • The incumbent candidate must be comfortable working in a matrix environment and have the ability to connect with different functional groups and people in multiple levels while embracing and driving change.
