Compensation for the Metal Fabricator - Welder
- $24 -- $29 Per hour DOE
- Current schedule: Monday -- Thursday, 7 am -- 5:30 pm
Benefits upon hire include Medical, Dental, Vision PTO, Retirement plan
Responsibilities for the Metal Fabricator - Welder
- Ability to read and understand blueprints. Must be able to read weld symbols.
- Operate metals shop equipment such as, bandsaw, drill press, sheet metal brake, belt sander, press brake, ironworker, etc.
- Operate hand tools such grinders, mag drills, pistol grip drills, pneumatic die grinder, pneumatic impact wrench, hand held band saws.
- Fit & Weld a large variety of products. This position requires the ability to do both, it is not a welding only position.
- Ability to weld in all positions, flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead
- Ability to set up and run welding machines, hand plasma cutters, and oxy/acetylene torches.
- Ability to finish metal work in high-end applications. Attention to detail is a must in this shop and employees are required to have a high understanding and ability of proper methods of finish work.
- Ability and willingness to receive instruction and complete work orders in a timely manner.
- Proficiently use tools such as tape measure, square, T-Bevel, protractor
- Ability to work with team in field settings during installations.
Ability to complete jobs accurately and on time.
Requirements for the Metal Fabricator - Welder
- 3 - 5 Years experience in Mig hardwire welding and some Tig
- 3-5 years Fabrication experience (this not welding or fitting they're different)
- Welding certifications preferred, but will certify an employee if needed
- MIG flux core or hard wire welding experience required(GMAW)
- TIG welding experience required (GTAW)
- Stick welding experience preferred (SMAW)
- Mild Steel, Aluminum and occasional Stainless Steel work
- Installations at customer sites
- Must be able to pass shop weld test
- Attention to detail with a high understanding and ability of proper methods of finish work
- Ability to interact professionally and friendly with co-workers and customers
- Adaptability
