Robert Half Medical Billing Specialist in Spokane, Washington
Description
We are seeking a meticulous and dedicated Medical Billing Specialist to support a large healthcare organization with a billing/AR clean up project. This is a REMOTE opportunity, lasting several months. This role involves handling customer accounts, processing applications, and resolving inquiries. As a Medical Billing Specialist, you will be primarily responsible for billing and collections, maintaining accurate patient accounts, and interacting with insurance companies to ensure payments.
This is an immediate, contract, 100% remote opportunity - you must be able to work Pacific Standard hours (ideally 7AM - 3:30PM PST). This is a long-term contract opportunity with a prominent healthcare organization.
Any previous Infusion billing experience preferred, but not required.
Responsibilities:
• Efficient and accurate processing of customer credit applications.
• Maintaining precise records of customer credit.
• Timely and accurate billing and collections from insurance carriers and patients.
• Posting charges, cash receipts, and adjustments to patient accounts.
• Negotiating payment plans or settlements with patients who have unpaid medical bills.
• Working closely with insurance companies to resolve disputes and facilitate payments.
• Keeping records of all patient interactions and payments received.
• Monitoring accounts receivable and following up on unpaid bills.
• Posting and saving WA & OR IV Correspondence.
• Handling HME no pays / zero translating into TIMS.
• Routing HME Inbound Document for Refund requests into TIMS.
• Saving CA IV EOB's in both CPR+ & Waystar.
• Posting CA IV lockboxes and credit cards.
• Undertaking other tasks as needed or assigned.
Requirements • Applicant must hold a bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field.
• Proven experience in a similar role is necessary.
• Proficiency in the use of NIS software is mandatory.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required.
• The candidate should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential.
• The candidate should be able to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• Knowledge of current industry trends and advancements is desirable.
• The candidate should demonstrate a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Willingness to continuously learn and adapt to new technologies and techniques is necessary.
• The candidate should exhibit a strong work ethic and reliability.
• Ability to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure is required.
• The candidate should be able to demonstrate creativity and innovative thinking.
• The candidate should possess strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Familiarity with industry regulations and guidelines is a plus.
