Overview
The Fall Engineering Co-op Program is a paid internship experience located in Spencer, Indiana. We offer a 16-week rotation with assignments in Manufacturing Engineering and Post-Market Engineering . This position includes a housing stipend, 401(k), fitness center access, learning events, capstone presentation, and more. All C o - o p positions are assigned a direct mentor and each position provide s real-world experience with meaningful projects in the medical device manufacturing industry.
Responsibilities
Engineering C o -O ps may be involved in projects in the following areas: Process Improvement ; Test Method Validation ; Production ; Continuous Improvement ; Process Technology ; Manufacturing Transfer ; Supplier ; Sustaining; Engineering Test Lab; Sustaining Materials; Quality Engineering ; Quality Data Analytics; Research and Development
Utilize engineering knowledge to p roduce project deliverables / documents
Adhere to the Quality Management System (QMS) and its processes to meet FDA 21 CFR 820, ISO 13485, and other applicable regulatory requirements
Must maintain all training requirements for the position, while seeking out opportunities for continuous development and growth
Must work and interact effectively and professionally with and for others throughout various levels of the global organization
Must strictly adhere to safety requirements
Maintain regular and punctual attendance
Must maintain company quality and quantity standards
Must have effective communication skills and ability to work in collaborative and independent work situations and environments with minimal supervision
Ability to remain calm and receptive in fast paced situations
Qualifications
College or University Junior or Senior preferred working towards a b achelor’s d egree in Engineering (Graduate students also considered)
Minimum GPA of 3.0
M ust provide proof of enrollment in an accredited college or university
Physical Requirements:
On-site and hybrid positions that w ork under general office environmental conditions
Sitting for extended periods, utilizes close visual acuity for working with computers, equipment, etc.
Personal protective equipment including safety glasses, lab coat and gloves may be required in some areas associated with this position
Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job, subject to reasonable accommodation requirements under the ADA.
