Shift: Day Shift

Job Summary:

Panasonic Energy is seeking a Materials Coordinator to coordinate and expedite flow of materials, parts, and assemblies for the Assembly Department. Production schedules are reviewed while collaborating with the department supervisor to determine material requirements and needs.

Essential Duties:

  • Must be organized and practice time management to stay on top of production schedules

  • Coordinate with departments to ensure efficient movement of all material and evaluate material sent to production

  • Coordinator will all department leaders to ensure materials are accounted for

  • Manage the flow of materials between departments and arrange for the transfer of materials between departments to meet production schedules

  • Manage inventory for accuracy and generate inventory trend analysis

  • Develops reports on material usage and forecast and report any potential production losses

  • Computes amount of material required to complete job orders, applying knowledge of product and manufacturing process

  • Use spreadsheets daily to track and manage inventory for all materials, production reports, and the status and location of materials

  • Generates reports, graphs, and presentations for leadership

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Requirements:

  • To ensure the health and safety in the workplace and for the protection of our employees, wearing PPE is a possibility and may include equipment such as a full Tyvek suit, safety shoes, gloves, safety glasses, face mask, bump cap, and a full hazmat suit that includes a respirator.

Qualifications

Qualifications: Requirements - Required and/or Preferred

Education:

  • Basic: High School Diploma, GED (General Education Development) or equivalent required

  • Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in supply chain or related field and 2 years of manufacturing work experience and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Essential Qualifications:

  • Strong organizational and communication skills

  • Detail orientated, ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks with strict deadlines

  • A minimum of 3+ years of experience in logistics and inventory

  • Experience with integrated software systems (MES, SAP, Tableau)

  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills

  • Must have working-level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking English

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Able to use a manual pallet jack, motorized pallet jack or lift truck

  • Familiar with Operator Interface Terminals, touch screens, and RF Scanners

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
