Texas Health Center for Diagnostics & Surgery is an 18-bed physician-owned hospital serving the people of Collin, Dallas and Denton counties. Develops a comprehensive financial program and provides financial consulting, education, training and interpretation of financial information to the Board of Managers, investors, senior management and department managers.

Job Description

Develops a comprehensive financial program and provides financial consulting, education, training and interpretation of financial information to the Board of Managers, investors, senior management and department managers. Reviews monthly financials for accuracy, including financial diligence by the identification, promotion, and tracking of cost savings opportunities. Prepares project pro form as to assess feasibility and rate of return on hospital initiatives and investments.

Prepares the Operating and Capital Budget and long-range Financial Plan. Coordinates the input and prioritization of the capital needs of the hospital. Coordinates with the System Office FP&A department to ensure system assumptions are accurately reflected.

Maintains the appropriate internal control structure of the hospital's assets. Actively participates on various hospital and user groups, task forces and work groups to achieve company goals through continuous quality improvement. Assists hospital senior leadership in the review and coordination of compliance audits, resulting findings, and remediation efforts.

Coordinates with and monitors system Revenue Cycle and Billing Compliance function to ensure compliance with expected service levels and that the hospitals are meeting metrics. Reports on revenue cycle metrics to hospital senior management. Identifies and assists in facilitating process improvement initiatives with hospital patient access departments. This may include direct management of patient access department employees

Coordinate with corporate and entity supply chain the negotiation of supply contracts and equipment acquisition. Tracks hospital compliance with system agreements. Provides oversight, input, and management of hospital physician and vendor contracting. Must be comfortable educating physicians on supply cost variance and margin analysis.

Coordinates partnership activities, including annual valuations, distribution calculation, ad-hoc investment/share analysis, and attends the hospital investor committee. Regularly tracks hospital investment ROI and coordinates the purchase and selling of shares with the hospital leadership and the system accounting department.

Education

Bachelor's Degree required. Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred

Experience

3 years Healthcare financial operations, budget and planning and 1 Year progressive leadership experience required

Licenses and Certifications

CPA - Certified Public or CHFP preferred upon hire
