Note: This position will follow our hybrid work model, we expect the selected candidate to be in office 2-3 days a week at one of the following office locations: St, Petersburg, FL (primary) Denver, CO; Memphis, TN; or Southfield, MI, however we will be considering remote as an option.
Job Summary:
The Raymond James Identity and Access Management (IAM) team is seeking a talented IAM Governance Lead to join our dynamic and growing IAM department. The IAM Governance Lead will collaborate with various teams to drive continuous improvement in IAM governance and compliance, ensuring alignment with business objectives and risk management strategies within our global organization based out of St. Petersburg, Florida. This role is ideal for an experienced IAM Governance Specialist looking to lead and develop a rapidly maturing program.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement a comprehensive IAM governance framework, including policies, standards, and procedures, to ensure consistent and effective IAM practices across the organization.
Maintain IAM policies and standards for the organization that will be consumed by business and technology stakeholders. Revise annually and as required.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies by supporting regular audits and assessments of IAM systems and processes.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify and address IAM compliance gaps, ensuring timely remediation and risk mitigation.
Create and maintain IAM governance dashboards and reports for senior management, providing insights into the organization's IAM posture and compliance status.
Lead the development and implementation of IAM governance initiatives, including user access reviews, role-based access controls, and segregation of duties.
Identify opportunities to automate and streamline IAM governance processes, enhancing efficiency and reducing manual effort.
Monitor and manage exceptions to IAM policies, developing long-term improvement plans to address root causes and prevent recurrence.
Facilitate cross-functional communication and collaboration to ensure effective adoption and implementation of IAM governance practices.
Provide guidance and support to IAM team members and other stakeholders on IAM governance-related matters.
Stay current with industry trends and best practices in IAM governance, incorporating relevant advancements into the organization's IAM strategy.
Skills/Previous Experience:
Ideally six (6) to ten (10) years of experience specializing in IAM Governance is required.
Financial services industry experience is required.
Global IAM experience is required.
Extensive experience in IAM governance, compliance, and risk management.
Strong understanding of IAM technologies, including access management, identity governance, and privileged access management.
Proven ability to develop and implement IAM governance frameworks and processes.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with Audit and stakeholders at all levels.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on continuous improvement.
Knowledge of the tools supporting Access management, Privileged access management, Identity governance.
Well versed in data analytics.
Licenses/Certifications:
- One of the following required: CISSP, CISM, CISA certification(s)
Education
Bachelor’s: Computer and Information Science, Bachelor’s: Information Technology, High School (HS) (Required)

Salary Range
$100,000.00-$195,000.00
