Kennedy-Donovan Center Occupational Therapist - Early Intervention in Southbridge, Massachusetts

About this role:
Started as an extension of our Birth to 3 family centered intervention, KDC Therapies blends the philosophy of parent coaching and the convenience of medical model therapies. Our fully equipped space is appropriate for children 0-18 who require specialized occupational services. In addition to on-the-job learning, KDC offers professional development activities and training necessary to maintain relevant certifications and licensures.
Full-Time, Part-Time and FFS Available!
In this role, you'll get to:
Screen participants, conduct assessments, and ongoing service coordination according to agency standards
Complete reports of assessments, progress reports, and discharge summaries
Maintain appropriate communication with physicians, clinics, and community agencies participating in each child’s care
Provide information to parents that enable them to make informed decisions for their child's progress
This role allows for flexibility!
We are looking for people who have:
Bachelor’s degree, or higher in Occupational Therapy
Must have a valid Massachusetts Occupational Therapy License or the ability to obtain
Strong written and verbal communication
Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
The physical requirements for this role:
Frequent movement within classroom including but not limited to kneeling, bending, sitting, lifting, and positioning of students
Ability to lift 50 pounds alone, 51+ pounds with the assistance of another person or adaptive equipment
