Description
Dynamic and innovative simulation company – ETC Simulation in Orlando, FL ( www.etcsimulation.com ) is seeking an Operations Manager for their Business Unit. Our goal for ETC Simulation is to be a world leader in simulation training systems for Emergency Management and Vehicle Operations in a range of markets and to grow the business. The Operations Manager of ETC Simulation is responsible for managing the overall operations of the business unit. They will develop and implement plans and procedures to ensure that all objectives are met in a timely and cost-effective manner. They will oversee the day-to-day operations of the unit, including recruiting and managing staff, budgeting, planning and directing activities and ensuring that customer service standards are met. The Operations Manager is also responsible for coordinating with the ETC Corporate office and ensuring compliance with all regulations.
Responsibilities:
Provide daily leadership to a 15 person onsite team. Ensure that there are clear priorities and accountability for work.
Implement project management processes enabling team to meet deadlines and streamline workflows.
Oversee production scheduling, resources and hiring.
Work with both the US and Polish teams.
Budget oversight on projects and for operational expenses.
Foster a culture of innovation, excellence and continuous improvement within the business unit
Involvement in sales activities
Requirements:
Project management or operations experience, preferably in software, systems development or hardware integration.
Strong leadership skills, a hands-on, team oriented leader.
Experience managing cross-functional and international teams.
Comfortable with both Agile and Waterfall methods in a software/hardware environment.
Strong problem-solving skills
Ability to make decisions under pressure
Bachelors Degree or higher in a related field
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience with Sales and Tenders in the USA is a plus
