West Virginia Employer Operating Room Technician Certified in South Williamson, Kentucky
HS/GED. Must be a certified operating room technician with 6 months of experience preferred. Sets up tables, instruments and supplies required for specific operation. Carries out surgical asepsis. Assists surgical team during operative procedures. Assists in the preparation for surgical procedures. Assists in preoperative preparation of patients. Assists with table equipment, positioning of patients, application of plaster casts and dressings. Prepares operative specimens, assists in transporting patients to and from operating room. Assists in cleaning operating room, equipment and instruments following surgery. Will prepare OR for next case. Cleans and stocks storage room. Records data on patient's record data sheets and OR logs. Must rotate on call as required. Performs duties of Nursing Aide as requested when OR is not busy. Performs other related duties as required. Must be able to endure prolonged standing, walking, sitting, bending, lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling. Exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently and 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
