Description The Health Pharm/Biotech company Robert Half currently has long-term contract / temporary opportunity for an experienced Senior Accountant who enjoys taking on new challenges and thrives in a fast-paced environment. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Responsibilities
Prepare Balance Sheet account reconciliations
Analyze financial results (benchmarks, trends, performance metrics)
Coordinate quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors
Constantly improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process
Ad-hoc projects as necessary
Function with business partners to ensure compliance with procedures and controls, corporate accounting policies, and provide support on special requests
Be a part of various department-wide initiatives
Put together monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting
Carry out monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP Requirements - Skillful in analytical, quantitative and social skills
Strong organization skills
Proven ability to work and communication well with manager-level associates
This position is suitable for candidates that are proficient in financial reporting systems
Commitment and abilities to meet critical business deadlines
Proficiency with corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required
Takes action on items beyond formal job responsibilities
Knowledgeable of ERP systems
Auditing experience preferred
Solid understanding of Microsoft Excel
Ability to work well in matrix organization and dealing with ambiguity
BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are desired
Highly capable of analyzing financial data and quickly creating accurate reports
2+ years of overall general accounting experience
SEC reporting and SOX compliance is a plus
