Human Longevity, Inc. Nurse Practitioner in South San Francisco, California
Purpose of Job
The HLI Advanced Practice Clinician (APC) Nurse Practitioner will be based in San Francisco, California and will partner with the HLI staff to provide high touch, high tech care for HLI clients. In addition to data collection, interpretative services, longitudinal care (using proprietary medical modules), coaching, and monitoring using HLI information tools, this role will be primarily work with the HLI staff and HLI Longevity physicians to provide state of the art preventive primary care. Experience with health coaching, healthy choices and behavior modification is essential.
Tasks and Responsibilities
Participate as an APC in partnership with clinic physician(s) in the HLI, San Francisco, focusing on day-to-day seamless clinical operations and management of staff to deliver an exceptional and quality client experience
Provide ongoing face-to-face clinical support within the practice and also via telemedicine modalities (e.g. phone, email, video chat) to HLI clients
Support physicians in case management and daily clinical work
Obtain medical history, interpret results, coordinate follow up and longitudinal care in partnership with physicians and clinical team
Review and interpret results for urgent findings; manage according to clinical guidelines and escalate as appropriate to the Medical Director or managing physician
Participate in national and global expansion of HLI’s network, as needed
As part of clinic management, responsible for adhering to the HLI budget
Execute on Quality Program for the Health Nucleus, ensuring staff remains compliant with licensing and training requirements
Minimum Qualifications (Must have)
Registered Nurse, and graduate of an accredited masters (MSN, Masters of Science in Nursing) or doctoral (DNP, Doctorate of Nursing Practice, or PhD in Nursing) with at least 5 years of direct clinical practice experience
Must have or be willing (and qualified) to obtain an unrestricted medical license for California
Commitment to the practice of science-based medicine
Demonstrated ability to manage, motivate, and empower diverse clinical teams
Interest in or relevant experience in design and conduct of clinical research
Interest in or relevant experience in ambulatory clinic operations, including telemedicine
Interest in or relevant genomic sciences training and/or experience (e.g., clinical, academia, or industry)
Interest in or relevant experience in implementation of innovative medical care models
Excellent communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with complex medical conditions, research
Experience working in direct pay or concierge medical settings
Interest or experience in healthcare informatics and/or background in Computer Science
Masters in Business or Healthcare Administration
Strong leadership and team player capabilities with excellent interpersonal skills
Sense of urgency, discipline, commitment, and organization with regard to building a new medical care model
Ability to support and drive internal and external organizational/cultural change
Temperament and ability to thrive in an often ambiguous, challenging, and fast-paced environment
