Robert Half Accounts Receivable Specialist in South Haven, Michigan

Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team in South Haven, Michigan. In this role, you will play a key part in managing cash applications, invoicing, collections, and account reconciliations while ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all processes. This is a long-term contract position within the rubber manufacturing industry, offering the opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately apply cash receipts on a daily basis, ensuring all transactions are completed within one day of receipt.

• Prepare and release invoices for multiple facilities using Aurora/System 21 and mail them promptly.

• Process manual invoices and credits while maintaining detailed records of daily receipts, disbursements, and adjustments.

• Reconcile the accounts receivable subsidiary ledger with the general ledger and ensure all discrepancies are addressed.

• Generate month-end reports in a timely manner and assist in balancing financial records.

• Follow up on past-due accounts in accordance with company policies, utilizing strategic collection methods.

• Utilize GetPaid collections software to document and manage accounts receivable activities, including detailed notes and follow-ups.

• Adhere strictly to established credit and collection policies, ensuring compliance with all procedures.

• Resolve discrepancies and reconcile customer accounts with accuracy and efficiency.

• Perform clerical tasks as needed, supporting the overall functionality of the accounts receivable department. Requirements • Minimum of two years of accounts receivable experience in a manufacturing setting.

• Proven experience in collections, billing, and cash application processes.

• Strong data entry skills with the ability to handle high volumes of transactions accurately.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the use of VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and macros.

• Familiarity with Aurora/System 21 and GetPaid collection software is highly desirable.

• Excellent interpersonal communication and negotiation skills with a positive attitude.

• Ability to manage workloads effectively and meet deadlines in high-pressure situations.

• Knowledge of credit and collection policies with a focus on attention to detail and accuracy.
