Job Title: Welder

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled welder responsible for all fabrication work within the R&D department. This role involves prototyping various new builds for production, MIG/TIG welding on aluminum, and the fabrication of brackets. The welder will also follow blueprints to ensure parts meet specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all fabrication work for the R&D department

  • Prototype new builds for production

  • Execute MIG/TIG welding on aluminum

  • Fabricate brackets

  • Follow blueprints to ensure parts meet specifications

  • Set up and operate welding equipment

  • Ensure prints are read correctly and welds are placed accurately for production

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in MIG/TIG welding

  • Experience with aluminum welding (minimum 2 years)

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints

  • Competence in setting up and operating welding equipment

  • Fabrication skills

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Ability to set up own welds

  • Attention to detail to ensure welds are in the correct spot according to prints

Work Environment

The work schedule is Monday to Thursday, from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of South Bend, Indiana.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00/hr.
