Job Title: Electrician

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled electrician to assist in wiring manufactured structures. The role involves working in an assembly/sub-assembly environment, pulling wire, bending conduit, and installing control systems. The ideal candidate should be able to read schematics and understand circuit layouts, perform wire termination, and work with 3-phase connections. The job also includes installing lights and ensuring the finished product meets specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Pull wire and bend rigid conduit.

  • Install and manage control systems.

  • Read and interpret electrical schematics and symbols.

  • Perform wire termination and work with 3-phase connections.

  • Install lighting fixtures and ensure finished products meet specifications.

  • Work with various voltages, primarily 120V, 240V, and 480V.

  • Use electrical tools such as wire strippers, voltmeters, crimpers, and multi-meters.

  • Diagnose basic electrical issues, including blown fuses, fault switches, and loose connections.

Essential Skills

  • Previous electrical experience working with different voltages.

  • Ability to read electrical schematics.

  • Ability to pull and manage wire, including splicing, stripping, and connecting.

  • Own basic set of tools, including wrenches, tape measure, and sockets.

  • Own steel-toed boots.

  • Ability to troubleshoot blown fuses and other electrical issues.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Previous electrical schooling (preferred but not required).

Work Environment

The position is based in a manufacturing facility with a work schedule of four 10-hour shifts, with occasional work on Fridays. Employees typically work 40-48 hours per week.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of South Bend, Indiana.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
