Naval Facilities Engineering Command ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN in Souda Bay, Greece

Summary You will serve as a Engineering Technician in the Facilities Engineering and Acquisition Division (FEAD) Naval Support Activity Souda Bay ofNAVFAC ROICC SOUDA BAY. Responsibilities You will support the management and administration of complex and challenging construction projects. You will observe the progression of construction on a daily basis and assist in the resolution of any encountered issues, problems, or conflicts. You will coordinate temporary utility and communication hook-ups for contractor. You will install cores, key facility and turnover keys to occupant. You will review/approve all government approved technical and administrative submittals (i.e. schedule of prices, contractor's baseline critical path schedule, accident prevention plan, activity hazard analysis, etc.). Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Reviewing technical engineering specifications, drawings and statements of work covering complex and diverse engineering designs or changes for constructability and accuracy; 2) Applying communication and conflict resolution techniques to solve challenging, complex, and/or contentious engineering issues; 3) Monitoring construction projects to ensure safe, successful, and timely completion; and 4) Interpreting project schedules to identify project challenges and manage project execution. The participating International schools located on the Island of Crete are not conducive for High School Students preparing for College and most high school students attend boarding school.
