SHI Solution Architect - Datacenter in Somerset, New Jersey
Job Summary
A Solution Architect works closely with one of our strategic partners or a category of focused partners to design and create technical solutions for customers. This position will support company’s engineering departments by providing estimates, consultation, and support around assigned partner.
This position will be required to report into the SHI Somerset, NJ office location.

Responsibilities
Including, but not limited to:
Work with the company’s sales force in determining the appropriate /Storage solution for customers
Provide pre-sales technical assessment, storage design and development of a proposal and or bill of materials for a solution
Assist sales with customer facing calls to help gather customer datacenter requirements
Guide customers on server design scenarios; upgrade paths, product road maps, and industry best practices
Stay current on datacenter industry technology trends through partner training and provide knowledge transfer to customers and team members
Assist sales reps in creating quotes along with a clear outline of the benefits
Deliver Technical presentations, demos, and assessments for customers and sales
Obtain & maintain new and existing datacenter certifications; as well as competency trainings as required by SHI management/needs of role
Provides technical knowledge in design, configuration, performance optimization, maintenance, and capacity planning for an environment
Be able to identify and examine market trends and understand client data center and technology needs
Ability to process & analyze data to understand the behavior of the buyer/customer
Design Storage solutions and configurations proposals around customer budget and environment restrictions
Analyze technology or data center needs of the Sales teams and create technical documents providing assessments of customer environment and documentation supporting recommendations on proposed solutions
Align with Sales Management to work with customers to design product solutions and create deployment plans
Provide strategic & tactical guidance to both sales teams and customers on current and proposed technical environments
Qualifications
5 years of technology related sales, business development experience with 2 years in Solutions or Systems Engineer Role
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or related focusOR relevant work experience
Provide subject matter expertise around Data Management solutions, including data protection, ransomware avoidance, AI/ML solutions
Provide jump start services for customers – advisory services for “As a Service solutions”

Additional Information
The estimated annual pay range for this position is $80,000 - $150,000 which includes a base salary and bonus. The compensation for this position is dependent on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location and, therefore, will vary from individual to individual. Benefits may include, but are not limited to, medical, vision, dental, 401K, and flexible spending.
