Actalent Controls Engineer in Somerset, New Jersey

Job Title: Controls Engineer

Description:

  • Drive process improvements and help develop new capabilities within our existing R&D and manufacturing

systems in support of aggressive business growth

  • Improve and support existing process systems and infrastructure

  • 3+ years industry experience in process control, instrumentation, programming and data management

• Experience with PLC configurations and programming: C, C++, Visual Basic, Python and SQL is required

• Experience with Historian, LabWindows, LabView, MatLab, CAD, HMI is a plus

• Strong documentation processes and practices

• Must be a self-starter able to effectively design experiments, analyze data, and develop and document

conclusions

• Drive to learn new technologies and implement state-of-the-art processing

Skills:

plc programming, python, process control, Mechatronics, data management, manufacturing equipment

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Masters or BS degree in Electrical Engineering or related field

3+ years of PLC programming & writing codes ( C, C++, Python)

Experience working with & upgrading manufacturing equipment

Must be innovative , enjoys probing & tweaking things on their own if it is not working, passionate about the work they are doing
