The Senior Sales Analyst, Commercial will play a key role in driving value within Nestlé Professional Solutions (NPS) by transforming data into compelling stories that illustrate the success of our sales efforts in the Commercial Chains and Foodservice at Retail Sales teams. This position is ideal for someone who is passionate about using data to tell impactful stories and provide insights that guide decision-making. In this role, you will leverage your understanding of our business to provide clear and actionable insights into historical and current trends. You will be expected to think critically and creatively, identifying opportunities for analysis that go beyond traditional sales metrics. Your ability to analyze team dynamics—including key accounts, strategies, market influences, and brand impact—will help you deliver meaningful analyses and strategic recommendations that highlight opportunities and potential risks. You will adopt a structured approach to define objectives, gather relevant data, and communicate your findings effectively to stakeholders. As an advocate for the Sales teams, you will identify their needs and collaborate across functions to create essential support tools that enhance our collective efforts.

This role will be based in our Solon, Ohio office and report to the Manager of Sales Analytics.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership

  • Serve as a trusted resource for the Commercial Chains and Foodservice at Retail Sales teams, sharing valuable insights and trends with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

  • Communicate findings in a clear and engaging manner, translating complex data into relatable stories that resonate with diverse audiences.

  • Demonstrate strong self-awareness and initiative, adapting quickly to changing circumstances and priorities.

  • Foster collaboration and build strong relationships with stakeholders, promoting transparency and trust within the team.

  • Advocate for the Sales teams by understanding their goals and identifying ways to support their success.

Planning and Execution

  • Monitor and assess sales and customer performance, translating data into insights that drive action.

  • Share knowledge of key performance indicators (KPIs) and their implications for the business.

  • Interpret past and current performance data to provide a clear picture of trends at various levels (customer, division, segment).

  • Effectively communicate your analyses and findings to the sales team and management.

  • Participate in or lead projects that enhance our understanding of market dynamics and customer preferences.

  • Identify key business drivers and trends to uncover growth opportunities.

  • Contribute to ongoing business reviews, providing insights that inform strategic planning.

Experience & Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in a sales analytics, finance, or related role within a collaborative environment.

  • Bachelor's Degree required.

  • Proven ability to analyze data and share insights in a storytelling format that influences decision-making.

  • Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an emphasis on storytelling.

  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint is required; familiarity with data visualization tools is a plus.

  • Experience in the Foodservice industry is preferred.

  • A strong understanding of business and financial concepts, with the ability to think strategically.

  • Willingness to travel up to 10%.
