What you'll do

As part of the team responsible for devloping one of the services (ArgoCDaaService) in SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) your key responsibilities will include:

Do research and prototyping in the domain of cloud development and cloud platform itself

Validate and integrate ArgoCD product as service in BTP

Developing Kubernetes operators with Golang as part of the service

Be responsible for the CI/CD process

Use good development practices like writing clean code, participate in the code review process, write unit and integration tests, etc.

Implementing integration tests

Executing activitivities helping the smooth operation of the service like installation, update, monitoring, resolving incidents, root cause analyses

Working closely with other teams in SAP using this service

Collaborating with ArgoCD and Gardener project communities

What you bring

Experience in cloud applications development

Golang programming

Knowledge in GitOps model

Knowledge in CI/CD tools like Jenkins(Piper)

Linux knowledge

Overall Kubernetes knowledge

Writing operators in Kubernetes

Knowledge in templating tools like Helm, Kustomize

Knowledge about cloud providers (for example AWS)

Analythical and problem solving thinkng

Self-driven and motivated, fast learner
