About the role:

The Sr. Project Manager (PM) will manage projects of small to medium size through the full life cycle of the project to ensure delivery; Serve as a promoter of Takeda’s Project Management Methodology and associated PMO processes. The Sr. Project Manager (non IT) will be the key contact for the Project Management Office (PMO) team and support project management tool development; project governance including controlling; and assist with annual capital management process. You will need to recognize and promote how project results affect the success of the organization and site. You will report to the Associate Project Engineering Director in Social Circle, GA.

How you will contribute:

  • Responsible in managing small to medium size projects to meet our needs. Projects may be non-technical or technical in nature.

  • Manage risks, communications, budgets, procurement, timelines, resources, quality and scope in implementing projects within the Project Management Methodology

  • Ensure projects are implemented within stated goals and timelines and using best practices and industry standards.

  • Will collect data to monitor and report on the progress of project(s); then assemble the preliminary analysis of the data.

  • Present data, results and reports to peers, project managers, and management.

  • Comfortable interacting with and presenting to all levels of management and anticipate and resolve conflict situations in a win-win outcome

  • Direct teams and manage project deliverables

  • The PMO leads and maintains the Takeda Project Portfolio Life Cycle management system (SPOT). As a part of the PMO you will be accountable to ensure adherence to this methodology by all PMs.

  • Be an expert in Project Management at the site and within the corporation to ensure PM Methodology is streamlined and PMs are trained in implementing within the boundaries of the system; Work with a team to deploy new business process and improving existing business processes.

  • Assess project or business process issues and communicate /develop resolutions to meet objectives, which may include quality, customer satisfaction, productivity and costs.

  • Use project management tools, develop mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention with project managers, line managers and other manufacturing managers.

  • Approve team deliverables for project completion and focus teams on improving project management product quality.

  • Conduct training and may perform other duties.

What you bring to Takeda:

  • B.S., 8-12, or MS, 6-10 years of project management experience required. Pharmaceutical, Medical Device, Biotech (cGMP) or regulated industry experience preferred.

  • PMP® certification and Lean/Six Sigma certification preferred

  • Travel up to 5% may be required.

  • A broad knowledge of business operations (principles).

  • Project management skills required, familiar with PMBOK® and PMI® or other industry PM standards

  • Analytical and systems understanding required.

  • Be team-minded, structured, disciplined and process-minded

  • Must have the ability to navigate electronic mail systems and intranet for communication purposes.

  • Must demonstrate ownership for results and integrity, a desire to improve.

  • Must have focus on rapid and disciplined action; A focus on quality, and have respect for individuals and the diverse contributions of all.

  • Computer skills and systems knowledge required. Outlook, Microsoft Project, Advanced Excel, Word, PowerPoint and SharePoint. NetPoint, JD Edwards and Trackwise is a plus.

Important Considerations

At Takeda, our patients rely on us to deliver quality products. As a result, we must follow strict rules in our manufacturing facilities to ensure we are not endangering the quality of the product. You may:

  • Work in a controlled environment requiring special gowning and wear protective clothing over the head, face, hands, feet and body. This may include additional hearing protection for loud areas.

  • Need to remove all make-up, jewelry, contact lenses, nail polish and artificial fingernails while in the manufacturing environment.

  • Work in a cold, wet environment; Work multiple shifts, including weekends, or be asked to work supplemental hours; Work around chemicals such as alcohol, acids, buffers and Celite that may require respiratory protection.

For Location:

USA - GA - Social Circle - Hwy 278

U.S. Base Salary Range:

$108,500.00 - $170,500.00

The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.

U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/ or long-term incentives. U.S. based employees may be eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well-being benefits, among others. U.S. based employees are also eligible to receive, per calendar year, up to 80 hours of sick time, and new hires are eligible to accrue up to 120 hours of paid vacation.
