Aerotek Maintenance Controller in Smyrna, Tennessee

Job Title: Maintenance Controller

Responsibilities

  • Provide clear information affecting maintenance status, action plans, return to service estimates, and other technical information.

  • Communicate directly with flight crewmembers when operational discrepancies are discovered.

  • Utilize maintenance tracking computer systems for planning, scheduling, and logistics of scheduled maintenance activities.

  • Update Flight Operations Software (FOS) in real-time with aircraft fleet maintenance status.

  • Coordinate with Flight Operations, Maintenance, and Purchasing to expedite aircraft return to service.

  • Control and track all deferred maintenance items (DMI).

  • Ensure all parts not in stock needed to clear DMIs are ordered per procedures.

  • Authorize deferred maintenance items (DMI), (MEL, CDL, and MCI).

  • Ensure all deferrals are accomplished in accordance with company manuals and FARs.

  • Complete and distribute all applicable forms and documents in accordance with company General Maintenance Manual procedures.

  • Provide a point of contact and control for maintenance performed on Company aircraft away from the main maintenance base.

  • Perform maintenance planning in issuance and tracking of scheduled maintenance workload.

Essential Skills

  • Airframe and Powerplant license required.

  • Some maintenance control experience required.

  • Experience with CRJ or ERJ airframes required.

  • Ability to work a varying schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Smyrna, Tennessee.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $41.00 - $41.00/hr.
