Location: Redzikowo Military Base
Work hours: usually 0730 to 1600 with overtime as needed.
Job Description
Reports to and receives assignments, instructions, and direction from the Foreman or General Foreman. Reads and interprets instructions and documentation and plans work activities. Ensures highest quality standards are instilled in all installations. Moves materials and equipment to work locations and sets up work site. Maintains, repairs,and replaces or installs a broad range of electrical equipment and support systems in support of base Operations and maintenance activities. Completes records, maintains tools and equipment, and performs various clean-up and housekeeping activities. Responsible for identifying proper materials required for specific installations, submitting material requisitions through the procurement process and following up with materials and/or logistics personnel until received. Observes and follows all safety rules and procedures, including wearing required personal safety equipment. Performs other duties and activities as directed. The skills for this position are acquired through Certification as Journeyman Electrician and 2-5 years of experience.
Responsibilities
Perform LV Switching Procedures 50/60Hz
Perform LV Isolations
Operate maintain, and repair the permanent 50/60Hz electrical power transmission systems and distribution systems.
Operation of the Electrical Power Transmission and Distribution Systems includes equipment and systems components, such as, switchgear, medium and low voltage distribution lines, and includes tasks, such as, monitoring and regulation of equipment controls, maintaining operating records, logs, and reports, and examination and minor adjustment of equipment and system components.
Systems equipment and components shall be efficiently and safely operated per ANSI, ASME, NFPA, and OMSI standards, the O&M manuals provided, and other specific operating manuals, procedures, and instructions
Ensure all work is performed safely with minimal impact on distribution system.
Requirements:
The skills for this position are acquired through Certification as Electrician and 3-5 years of experience.
Electrical License/certification- In date
Must possess, or be able to secure and maintain a Secret Security clearance
Must be fluent in English
Must possess passport book (not passport card) with at least 12 months of remaining validity AND with at least 4 blank visa/stamp pages remaining
Must possess driver’s license with at least 6 months of remaining validity
