Regeneron Pharmaceuticals Specialist, Global Procurement - IT in Sleepy Hollow, New York

The Specialist, Global Procurement - IT will report to the Director of Global Procurement-IT and is responsible for supporting the development and execution of the Category Management Strategy within assigned IT categories of Professional Services, Cloud, Software, hardware. They work collaboratively with other Global Procurement team members to competitively assess the global supply base capabilities and qualifications for Regeneron’s interests. The Specialist must have demonstrated capability to collaborate with team members and partners to manage a supply base and increase value, minimize risk and ensure quality & cost effectiveness.

A typical day might include the following:

  • Works closely with partners to support discussions related to the IT Categories, inclusive of IT Hardware/Telecom, Software and Services, and aligns category priorities with Procurement management and partners.

  • Supports negotiations, supplier management activities, and partner engagement activities for the IT Category as assigned.

  • Takes direction to drive value in terms of cost savings, cash flow improvement, and other efficiency savings from category management activities.

  • Supports Global Procurement by participating in organizational decisions in the IT categories with critical short and long-term impact on the success, efficiency, growth, and results of the category team.

  • Demonstrates knowledge of efficient global procurement organizations and processes within the biopharmaceutical industry to support the growth and evolution of the Global Procurement organization and leverages this knowledge to drive improvements within Regeneron, aligned with corporate priorities.

  • Supports category activities to ensure compliance with appropriate GxPs and other applicable regulations, as applicable.

  • Uses data to drive decision-making for successful category projects.

  • Uses external data sources, market information, and supplier engagement to constantly improve Regeneron’s knowledge of supply market dynamics.

  • You are experienced operating with integrity, focus, and clarity in an environment of ambiguity to inspire change and improvement.

  • And can demonstrated success supporting the global supply market evaluation process using all available market intelligence, risk, compliance, and financial assessment tools.

To be considered, you must possess a bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study plus relevant, progressive experience in procurement, including experience in Pharma/BioPharma. The role requires solid working knowledge with sourcing contracting tools, ERP’s, and eRFx systems preferred. (Oracle, Zycus, Ariba, Other) and the ability to use standard business applications for communicating, presenting and analyzing (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). This role requires being onsite 3 days per week minimally.

Salary Range (annually)

$81,000.00 - $132,200.00
