[MAINTENANCE WORKER/GROUNDSKEEPER *[Definition: [To perform a variety of semi-skilled and skilled work in several areas of property maintenance and grounds keeping, to repair and maintain assigned buildings, equipment and to perform related duties as assigned.   • Perform semi-skilled and skilled work to maintain buildings and equipment.
  • Maintain turf areas, including weed control.
  • Follow verbal and written instructions and work with supervisor or designee to prioritize work.
  • Diagnose, repair, install, and maintain equipment and fixtures requiring trade skills.
  • Operate hand and power tools.
  • Locate and repair minor roof leaks.
  • Perform basic grounds-keeping duties such as trimming of grass, trees and shrubs.
  • Maintain service vehicle with gas, water and oil and refer major mechanical problems to appropriate source.
  • Maintain daily log of work completed, materials used, time spent, etc.
  • Clean, maintain, and repair tool and equipment.
  • Perform related duties as assigned.

  • Tools, methods, procedures, and practices used in building and construction trades, including ground maintenance, minor electrical, minor plumbing and carpentry.
