Job Summary
Responsible for providing administrative leadership and expertise. Develops and monitors appropriate indicator for quality and continuous improvement. Manages the operations of the departments including human resources, budget, and finance, short and long range planning, legal and regulatory compliance. Expected to effectively interview, hire, counsel, and discipline, and, when necessary, terminate employees. Responsible for providing professional, technical, and clinical expertise. Implements the vision and mission, plan and standards of the organization within the department. Collaborates with other Sanford leadership and physicians regarding Cancer Services to provide a continuum of care through the Health System. Oversees employees who must utilize appropriate age-related patient care protocols relating to the physical and psychological needs of adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients. Expected to contribute to the strategic planning process of Cancer Services, day-to-day operations of the Oncology Department, and attainment goals of the organization.
Qualifications
Bachelors of Science degree required; Master’s degree in Nursing or related area is preferred, including coursework related to organizational science and management concepts or demonstrate equivalent competencies.
