Strategic Planning Public Relations

  • Design and influence a PR strategy and SMART Plan, aligned with marketing and communication activities across the Hotel and the region.

  • Ensure consistent and relevant customer communications within appropriate channels with an aim of establishing market credibility and awareness.

  • Works closely with public relations professionals within Starwood regionally and internationally.

  • Researches, writes press releases and makes sure that they reach the target audience.

  • Establishes and maintains relationships with influential lifestyle media, publications, celebrities, artists to enhance W Singapore’s editorial coverage and support.

  • Manages photo shoots within hotel to provide smooth operations. This includes fashion shoots, ad shoots, editorial shoots as well as W related food/ event photography and may include working hours outside normal daily working hours.

  • Develop, plan and manage PR resources according to agreed budget.

Effectively communicates the Hotel’s happenings

  • Actively involves in the production of sales & publicity brochures, collateral, promotional videos and digital programs that serves to reach the Hotel’s target audience.

  • Responsible for organizing press conference, exhibitions and press tours.

  • Bridges between the Hotel, the Media, and other organizations. Evaluates the advertising and promotional programs and ensures it is aligned with W passion points.

  • Writes and distributes all media alerts and press releases for property events, promotions, and outlets.

  • Supervise the efforts of the team in maintaining the Hotel’s image and identity.

  • Draft speeches of the Hotel’s senior leadership team (SLT) for public events and meetings.

  • Hosts media at W Singapore events to maintain relationships and create editorial imagery and message.

  • Helps create positive and beneficial social media content.

  • Manage public image of W Insider to generate character editorial content.

Event Management

  • Seek out opportunities to participate in or collaborate with relevant events, conferences, or exhibitions in order to create awareness, support sales, or seek out additional business development opportunities and activities.

  • Responsible for the arrangements at special events such as sponsorship of dinners, fashion shows, music events, etc.

  • Works closely with the catering and events team.

  • Attends specific strategic events to establish image of hotel and involvement in the relevant communities along passion points.

  • Creates and conceptualize PR events and activities to generate editorial from relevant media.

Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards; anticipate and address guests’ service needs; thank guests with genuine appreciation. Speak with others using clear and professional language; prepare and review written documents accurately and completely; answer telephones using appropriate etiquette. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others; support team to reach common goals; listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees. Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance; stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
