DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Key responsibilities of the intern include:

Performance Analysis/Reporting

  • Assist in reporting data/insights to key Revenue Management stakeholders

  • Assist in delivering technical & analytical support to provide data-driven performance insights on revenue management metrics (e.g. market share performance, pricing effectiveness, booking pace by segment and tier, market segmentation, channels and source market trends)

  • Assist in creation of reports and dashboards for deeper analysis required to determine factors that impact performance and provide analytical support to Revenue Management leadership

  • Aggregate regional, brand, market segment performance analysis of hotels

Field Support

  • Provide support to Field Support Team, focusing on all matters related to Revenue Management (e.g. training, field communications, promotions, annual budget process, special corporate pricing, One Yield, MARSHA, MRDW, etc.)

  • Assist in creating the weekly revenue management updates and monthly revenue management newsletter; Assist with updating pricing manual and communicating changes to the hotels

  • Run audits to ensure hotels are using the rate plans per the rules/governance standards

  • Run ad-hoc audits for our global/divisional/brand campaigns and follow up with hotels who have not complied

  • Assist in providing the required support to the hotels

Inter-Departmental

Collaborate with other departments in executing relevant revenue management initiatives

JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

You should be a high-potential intern who is passionate, committed and keen to establish a career in the hospitality industry with the following key competencies and skills:

  • Knowledge of basic revenue management principles

  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and other statistical software

  • Ability to learn new technologies easily

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills (written/verbal)

  • Confidence, ability to perform well under pressure

  • Ability to multi-task

  • Ability to analyze and interpret basic financial/market data

  • Organizational & time management skills

  • Analytical and numerical skills

QUALIFICATION STANDARD

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or Business Management preferred.

Requirements

Singaporean, Singapore Permanent Resident Holder or valid student pass / work holiday pass

Eligible for undergraduate in a Singapore registered university program / uundergraduate or graduate of a university in Singapore, Australia, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, New Zealand, Switzerland, United Kingdom or United States.

Prepared to commit to a six months’ internship
