Continental Engineer, Wireless Radio Frequency System Design in Singapore, Singapore

Within the Wireless Communication R&D team, we support the development of product systems with an RF based communication link. These RF sub-systems need to be defined, specified, and validated. For the following tasks we are looking for an experienced team member with a hands-on approach and a can-do attitude and ability to develop wireless competence and product system RF integration from first principles.

Responsibilities

• Wireless RF System Concept and RF System Architecture definition and wireless standards development activities.

• Creation of the RF System Specification and Requirements in WORD and DOORS applications.

• Technical presentations and discussions with internal and external customers on Wireless Application and Continental Standards and Processes.

• Coordination of all wireless and RF related development activities within the projects and across different disciplines and different locations.

• Support to product certification and homologation teams for wireless RF related Physical Layer specifications.

• RF Integration on Product level and in Vehicle Application Environment with CANOE and RF Development Benches.

• RF vehicle integration (Vehicle validation measurements, coordination of the validation with the customer and internal contacts, report creation and customer presentations).

Requirements

• Master or Bachelor degree in Electrical/ Electronics/ Radiofrequency/Wireless Engineering or other similar.

• Minimum 3 years industry experience in RF development and measurement, 1 year within automotive industry would be advantageous.

• Advanced Know-how and experience in using Radio Frequency System understanding, Electro Magnetic Theory, RF Simulation, Radio Communication standards, and RF Design Validation, and RF Homologation.

• Advanced Experience in RF measurement Techniques and Equipment, RF Signal Generators, RF Spectrum Analyzer, RF Network Analyzer and Instrument Control Software.

• Experience and Knowledge in RF System Design, RF Link Budget Estimation,

• Support SW team in RF handling Design and Optimisation.

• Skilled in RF Circuit and Layout simulation (ADS Pathwave), RF Data Analysis with MATLAB and Excel, Design for Reliability (DfR), Failure Mode Effects and Analysis (FMEA), Design for Radio Frequency (DfRF).

• Ability to cope with high workload situation and under time pressure.

• Ability to present themselves and explain technical contents in a structured way, and experience working with international team members.
