Engineer - Project Management
BASIC FUNCTIONS
The engineer will be responsible in the planning and execution of projects. He will work with the sales teams/customers/distributors, support the industrial solution team to advise on project feasibility study, variation order and manage submittals for approval upon order.
SPECIFIC RESPONSBILITIES
Execute the project management duties and ensure all key milestones are met within the schedule.
Generate the master project schedule and monitor project executions milestones.
Liaise and coordinate with internal and external parties to carry out the implementation works of the project.
Monitor respective functions responsibilities and ensure project milestones are on track
Coordinate and Lead the Factory Acceptance Test with customers and distributors.
Ensure all documentations are agreed and endorsed for delivery.
Schedule and coordinate the on-site testing and ensured smooth transition to the aftermarket team.
To provide the first level technical support during project execution.
Work with engineering team on project feasibility studies and assist Industrial Solution team to generate project cost estimation in term of project management activities.
Submit a monthly report on the project status to highlight key issue or concern relating to the project delivery and milestones.
Provide engineering support on 3rd party product and drawings for submittals purpose.
Participate in continuous improvement project.
Work with interplant associates on deliveries, factory tests and project documentation.
Work closely with scheduler, customer service team and the production team, update projects status in weekly project meeting.
Attend weekly site meeting with the main con and consultant if required.
Manage site installations work and ensure completion within stipulated timeline.
Coordinate and work with sub-contractors on site installations work, drawings, and materials submittals.
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering with 2 - 3 years of relevant experience; or
Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering with 5 - 7 years of relevant experience
Good interpersonal skills along with good oral and written communication skills
Able to read and interpret M & E drawings
Familiar with generators, controls, and its associated equipment & accessories will be added advantage
Familiar with generators standards and codes will be added advantage
