Job Title: Assistant Accountant (fix term contract)

Location: Singapore (Kallang Office)

Employment Type: 1 year fix term contract - full time (extension possible)

Work Shift: Hybrid (3 times a week working at the office)

Financial Accounting and Reporting

Review the standard journals prepared by the shared service team before posting

Review of intercompany and related party transactions, monitoring netting process and minimise IC mismatch transactions.

Review and approval of purchase requisitions in line with the procurement policy and ensure posting based on nature of expenditure.

Work with the shared service team to coordinate the process of non-standard transactions and payments.

Resolving escalated queries from stakeholders eg. vendors/ employees.

Support of record keeping, data and document retrieval.

Taxation

Responsible for quarterly GST submission and ensure compliance with the local tax regulations.

Responsible for the preparation and filing of Withholding tax.

Responsible for arranging the tax treaty documents as and when requested by customer.

Support the corporate tax return and submissions by working with the appointed local tax advisor.

Treasury

Weekly reviews of cashflow forecast and submit funding requests to the Group Treasury as required.

Manage administration of Corporate Cards

Liaison with banks on issue resolutions as required.

Maintain signing and online banking mandate by working with Group Treasury.

Compliance

Support external audit and liaison with the Auditors to clear queries and/or requests of information.

Support the compliance of the Group’s internal control framework by maintaining supporting documents to demonstrate sufficient controls are in place.

Requirements

Minimum 4 to 8 years working experiences in a similar role preferably from a MNC environment

Degree in Accountancy or other professional accountancy qualification

Good knowledge of IFRS and local taxation (GST and withholding tax filing)

Ability to deal with multiple stakeholders and prioritize tasks

Possess enthusiasm, positive working attitude and adaptable to changes
