We are looking for a senior leader to partner with the AWS APJ AGS (AWS Global Sales) leadership teams to define, land and execute the strategic priorities for the AWS APJ business. This role is responsible for defining market making Strategies, supporting the Operations of the Partner Sales and our Go-to-Market Operations through to the day-to-day execution of the business. This is a senior leadership role leading a diverse team of sales operations professionals reporting to the leader of the APJ Global Sales Operations (GSO) function.

The successful candidate must be able to roll-up their sleeves, and work directly with the models/data.

  • Be passionate about their work, detail-oriented, analytical, and have excellent problem-solving abilities.

  • Be experienced at working with large data sets and the technical tools needed to work with them.

  • Have superb communication and customer-relationship skills, outstanding analytic insight, and be a passionate advocate for their customers to other internal stakeholders.

  • Active collaboration with leadership in Sales, Business Intelligence, Business Development, Finance, Marketing, Recruiting, and Compensation will be crucial to the effective execution of the responsibilities.

  • Drive towards simple, scalable solutions to difficult problems, have excellent project-management skills, and be able to communicate complex analytical results, both written and verbally, in a clear and easy-to-understand way.

  • Possess a keen business sense and exceptional analytical skills, is able to articulate and communicate a clear value proposition across customers, partners, and within the AWS organization, and its comfortable working across internal functions and geographies.

  • Naturally curious, going beyond the obvious to discover unexpected insights and translate those into tangible business value.

Key job responsibilities

In this role, you will develop and execute the APJ AGS Strategy, support AWS APJ’s partner first model by leading the Partner Sales Operations function, and support APJ and country Sales Motions leading the Go-to-Market Operations function. We expect the leader to analyze business trends, and make actionable business recommendations to senior management to support driving our aggressive growth plans and managing the complexity in the Field teams. As a member of the senior leadership team, you will be working with APJ Sales and Business leaders to develop, implement and manage the business processes, systems, analytics and strategies to meet organizational goals and initiatives.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Key partner to the APJ AGS Sales, Partner, GTM and GSO Leadership Teams.

  • Work with senior leadership to define strategy for the business.

  • Define the key sales support systems/processes required to meet the rapid growth of the business and achieve revenue attainment and market development objectives.

  • Collaborate on the design, development, maintenance of models, metrics, reports, analyses, and insights to drive key business decisions.

  • Lead initiatives across the worldwide sales operations team

  • Lead the development and provision of analytic insights to senior management regarding Business Development initiatives, customer segment performance, and overall performance against goals

  • Develop relationships and processes with sales, partner, finance, HR, sales operations, and other stakeholders.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or related field

  • Proven experience with the development and implementation of systems/tool utilized for SFDC, variable compensation, revenue reporting, forecasting etc

  • Expert level in Excel and Data query tools

  • Strong business-process design experience

  • Exhibits sound business judgment, a proven ability to influence others, strong analytical skills, and a proven track record of taking ownership, leading data-driven analyses, and influencing results

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working within a high-growth, technology company would be highly beneficial

  • Able to operate successfully in a lean, fast-paced organization, and to create a vision and organization that can scale quickly

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a track record of presenting to senior management
