We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Staff Accountant in Simi Valley, California. As a Staff Accountant, you will be tasked with conducting bank reconciliations, tracking banking activity, and maintaining the integrity of the general ledger. Your role will also involve assisting with the month-end close process, preparing financial statements and other statistical reports in line with GAAP, and ensuring the confidentiality of customer records.

Responsibilities:

• Conducting daily tracking of banking activity and reconciling bank statements

• Assisting with the month-end close process and preparation of journal entries

• Preparing financial statements and other statistical data reports, adhering to GAAP

• Maintaining the confidentiality of financial data and customer records

• Assisting with the preparation of audit supporting schedules for external auditors

• Implementing and monitoring systems for general accounting

• Analyzing, reviewing, and auditing overall general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable systems

• Preparing account reconciliations including researching and resolving any reconciling items

• Reporting on property tax, sales and use tax

• Utilizing Excel formulas and Great Plains software for accounting tasks.

Requirements • Proficiency in performing Bank Reconciliations

• Experience with maintaining and managing General Ledger

• Ability to accurately record Journal Entries

• Familiarity with Month End Close procedures and protocols

• Knowledge of Great Plains (GPAC) software

• Proficient in using Excel Formulas for financial processing and analysis
