Bartender/Shift Leader The Shift Leader will ensure an excellent guest experience by motivating and leading a team of hospitable, motivated, and knowledgeable bartenders, servers, and support staff members. Providing the best possible guest experience begins by leading and motivating an excellent front-of- house staff. Elevating the standards for taproom service, beverage knowledge, and floor sales is a key function of the Shift Leader role. The Shift Leader will work directly with the General Manager and Floor Manager to design and execute excellent taproom experiences for our guests every single day. The Shift Leader must have strong organizational and administrative skills. The Shift Leader will be required to develop new training and service systems while improving our existing systems and ensuring that the systems are accepted and implemented by our employees. The Shift Leader will manage the floor four to five times per week and be responsible for assisting with ongoing education, training, POS management, while ensuring a clean, sanitary, and organized taproom. metrics and attend weekly manager meetings.

Key Responsibilities Effectively manage cash for the business and grow top-line revenue through sales techniques with staff while improving bottom-line profit through reduction of mistakes and unnecessary waste. Collaborate with the General Manager to determine ways to motivate and train staff. Work with the General Manager to implement training programs for all new hires with a strong focus on sales, beer, and excellent hospitality. Must have an eye for the greater good of Silver Branch; able to teach bartenders and servers with questions related to up-selling and service. Responsible for maintaining a positive environment for all staff to work in. Highly personable, effective in communicating with guests and capable of developing a successful front-of-house staff that builds regular clientele and generates repeat business. Responsible for establishing and teaching Silver Branch Brewing Company standards of service while always striving for continual improvement. Effectively manage difficult situations with guests, employees or otherwise. Process online orders for pickup and manage back end of the POS while managing the floor.

Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications Cultural leader and relentless teacher at all times. Strong skills with all Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word and Publisher. Must have completed successfully completed the Cicerone Certified Beer Server exam, proof of certification level of Certified Beer Server necessary. Interest in pursuing the Certified Cicerone exam and making efforts to obtain the designation of Certified Cicerone within three years of promotion. Able to lift at least 50lbs and willing to work in a very fast-paced environment. Minimum 2 years customer service experience. Unique personal style that is also professional and fits our mission. Capable of standing for extended periods of time.
