SUMMARY OF POSITION:

The CI Manager is responsible for planning, developing, and executing continuous improvement initiatives across the manufacturing facility to drive improved operational performance. This position works to achieve a sustainable continuous improvement culture at the branch, and with key leaders within the facility and cross-functional partners to deliver Lean, and VAVE savings. This position must speak English and provide a resume in English.

MAJOR ACTIONS AND SUPPORT ACTIONS

  • Manage total facility CI initiatives and progress to completion. Develops and maintains annual Operational Excellence plan with a focus on lean tools that drive labor efficiencies, and OEE improvements.

  • Maintains a culture of Operational Excellence. Teach, coach and mentor site employees on lean and problem-solving tools.

  • Facilitates and leads structured process improvement projects that reduce rework and scrap.

  • Responsible to quickly adapt to financial gaps by adjusting timing of improvement plans, creating additional improvements and overall supporting meeting the branch financial plan.

  • Use metrics to provide support to process owners in linking projects to strategic operational objectives.

  • Adherence to internal and external Business Processes and Certifications synonymous with a large US Incorporation operating within the Automotive Industry and be a committed role model for our Company’s Beliefs and Behaviors.

  • Fulfill assigned primary, secondary and or tertiary deputy/back-up roles as assigned and required on occasion by the business.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in industrial / manufacturing engineering, or a similar technical degree

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in hands-on operational roles in supply chain management, engineering, or manufacturing

  • 2-3 years of experience in a leadership role

  • Automotive experience

  • Experience in applying Lean Thinking principles in a manufacturing environment.

  • Experience in injection molding

  • Experience in project management

  • MUST Speak English

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITY

  • Strong understanding of LEAN principles and methodologies

  • Well versed in Six Sigma, ability to lead DMAIC projects.

  • Six Sigma Black Belt Preferred.

  • Ability to develop focused team activities, facilitate collaboration and cross functional Kaizen events.

  • Ability to lead structured data driven problem solving.

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.

  • Working knowledge of MS office.
