Actalent Quality Engineer in Sidney, Ohio
Description
The Quality Engineer will be responsible for implementing and maintaining quality assurance processes to ensure that our products meet or exceed customer requirements. This role involves leading Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) initiatives, conducting Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), and managing Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) documentation. The Quality Engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve quality issues, support new product introductions, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Day-To-Day Involvement:
Ensure accuracy and timeliness of PFMEA's and Control Plans
Management of customer specific systems in relationship to quality functions
Promote positive working relationships with internal and external customers through a proactive approach
Use appropriate problem-solving methodology to assess, root cause, and correct quality deficiencies exhibited in plant processes of products: 5Why, Ishikawa, 5P etc.
Promote and audit for adherence to the plant documented IATF corporate and plant level procedures, as required.
Use proper measurement instruments and statistical analysis tools to quantify and qualify products produced as required
Additional Skills & Qualifications
IATF or similar audit experience preferred but not required
Knowledge of both Attribute & Variable data MSA (Measurement System Analysis)
SOFT SKILLS
Strong interpersonal skills, including good written and verbal communication skills
Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced team-oriented environment

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $95000.00/yr.
