IGS Solutions Distribution Lead in Sidney, New York

Job Summary: A Distribution Lead is an employee responsible for training and overseeing Distribution Associates on the following Activities and being able to do the activities themselves. Fulfilling orders and arranging outgoing packed orders for delivery. Their duties include interpreting sales orders and pulling the correct product, performing quality control assessments and stacking items safely and securely in the right packaging. <br> While the primary focus of this role is Distribution Associate, the successful candidate may have the opportunity to cross-train in other positions within the department based on organizational needs. <p> Key Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Follow company picking/packing procedures. Ability to efficiently pull product(s) based on daily orders. <li>Ensures order pick/count accuracy. <li>Meets specifics set forth by supervisor(s) for all orders promptly. <li>Reports out any discrepancies or adjustments needed by the supervisor. <li>Undertakes other duties which may arise or be delegated sometimes. <li>Handles inventory with care and attention to detail. <li>Follows good manufacturing practices and required work safety practices. <li>Operates various pieces of equipment ie. Pallet Jack, pallet wrapper. <li>Must be able to lift 50 pounds at times. <li>Strong reading and communication skills. <li>Maintains a clean, sanitary, and safe work area. <li>Diligent, Punctual and Ready to work! <li>At STIIIZY, our employees are encouraged to develop a broad skill set to enhance their contributions to the team. Technical Skills & Abilities: <ul> <li>Excellent command of the English language and a well-developed understanding of grammar, punctuation, and spelling. <li>Coachable, highly motivated, and driven to succeed. <li>Excellent time management skills. <li>Possesses beginning to working knowledge of subject. </ul>
Education & Experience: <ul> <li>High school diploma, GED, or equivalent. <li>1 year of experience working as a picker or packer in a warehouse or distribution center environment preferred. <li>Experience working in manufacturing or warehouse environments. </ul>
Requirements:<ul> <li>Must be over 21 years of age. <li>Available for on-site operations work Monday-Friday. <li>Work revolves around objectives, projects, and priorities- not hours; must be able to work weekends and holidays as needed. <li>Willingness and ability to undergo cross-training in various roles within the department as required. <li>Prolonged periods of standing, sitting at a desk, and/or working on a computer. <li>Able to stand up to 4 hours at a time. <li>Ability to work in multi-temperature environments, hot or cool.
